The Bauer Kitchen in Waterloo.
As I was on a business lunch at the Bauer Kitchen, I thought what a great time to blog about this great K-Town experience. I have wanted to try this restaurant for some time and was pleasantly surprised. There was so many great thing to say about this restaurant. I love the urban style setting for young and old. I found that in the middle of the day it was very upbeat and the atmosphere was a class act for sure. I love the way the everything is open to the chefs in the back and you can see all the action of the kitchen. I found the food to be full of flavor and every dish was presented. The flavours of the dishes were blended beautifully and the in house home made bread was incredible! They do have a Sunday brunch which I have heard very good things about.
I can't wait to try this one as a date night with husband and experience the evening atmosphere!!

My favourite book of all times is The Book of Negroes , written by Canadian author Lawrence Hill. The book of Negroes won Canada reads for 2009.
If you have the chance to pick this one up it is a MUST read!!! You can purchase at any bookstore in paperback for about $10-$15. I have recommended The book of Negros to everyone I know who loves a good read. Although this book is fiction I find I couldn't put it down.
This is about a one girls path of life through slavery. The main charter is Amanata Diallo she is a fascinating character and very easily liked. Amanata has over come great loss and still finds a way to continue on. Her strength and sheer determination through discrimination and slavery is what makes this story so special.
I truly love this book and hope you will take the time to read it.

I really wanted my first blog to be something I know about and that just so happens to be food. Here is my review of Arabesque Cafe. http://arabesquecafekw.com/index.html
My good friend and I decided that we were going to go to lunch and have a afternoon to ourselves. I suggested we go to one of my favourite restaurants Arabesque Cafe. We ordered off the lunch menu and was able to get caught up alittle on the days events. We both ordered the shawarma with rice, hummus, a fresh pita, tabouleh salad and a pop. I was so surprised at the quantity of the food!! I could only eat half. The waitress was very friendly and I find the restaurant to be clean and organised. My friend and I were there over and hour and didn't feel rushed out the door. I found lunch to be a very busy time but we were attended to and not forgotten.
Arabesque Cafe is a nice little date night spot as well. Often my husband and I enjoy a date night and we find the atmosphere for dinners to be intimate and the menu choices always delicious.
This unique food choice will delight your pallet. The food I find to be plentiful and the amazing delectable flavors of the middle east puts this one at the top of my list for Kitchener restaurant choices!!
Nothing is better than great food and amazing company
Thank you Tina!!!
